Agree, right now I only have a pair of Maples, but I intend it to be the backbone of the gold stack. IMO, no other coin can beat it, maybe in the looks department, the Britannia is prettier. Maybe American Eagles or Buffalos rule in the USA, but everywhere else the Maple is ubeatable in price, purity and popularity.

For me there is nothing more beautiful than the marriage of copper and gold(go eagles).. as for the modern Maple the queen ruins the coin, it looks like you have Barbara Bush on the obverse, the obverse is ugly! I’ll take the older Maple over the radial line newer Maple any day!
